Leng Dixon was born in Cape Town, South Africa 1916 - 1968

Art Education
- 1937 – 1938 Leng Dixon stuided art at Camberwell School, London.

Short Artist Biography
- 1939 Leng Dixon returned to South Africa; member of the New Group. Worked exclusively in pen and wash; successful as a book-illustrator. Book illustrations include ‘Not for Me the Wilds’ by Barbara Carr.
- Married to Cape Town Artist, Phay Hutton – subsequently separated.
- 1952 ‘Leng Dixon’, a book containing a number of his Malay and Cape sketches, was published by Maskew Miller, Cape Town.

- Many on-man art exhibitions in Cape Town.
- 1948 Overseas Exhibition of South African Art, Tate Gallery.
- 1952 Van Riebeeck Tercent Art Exhibition, Cape Town.
