John Heath was born in Connock, Staffordshire, England 1915 - 1969

Art Education
- 1932 – 1936 John Heath studied at Birmingham Collage of Art.
- 1936 – 1939 John Heath studied at Royal College of Art, London under John and Paul Nash.

Short Artist Biography
- 1939 – 1946 John Heath served in British Forces.
- 1946 John Heath came to South Africa to lecture in painting and drawing at Rhodes University.
- 1946 - 1953 Principal Port Elizabeth Tech Art School.
- 1954 John Heath appointed Professor of Fine Arts, University of Natal.
- 1962 Awarded Prize for Painting in Gallery 101-UAT Comp “Art and Religion”.

Art Exhibitions
- 1956 First Quad of South African Art.
- 1966 Rep Fest Exhibition, Pretoria
