I am a recent graduate of Diploma of Visual Arts and held my first solo exhibition in August last year having participated in many group exhibitions. Currently I address social issues using the medium of acrylic sheet as a means of emphasising society's habit of seeing through these issues as if they weren't there. Michael ROSSITER - Australian Artist, Oil Paintings & Pencil Drawings
I was born in Newcastle (in the UK) in 1974 but came to Australia with my parents at 6 months of age and was bought up in Sydney, New South Wales.  At school my teachers always commented on my drawings and artistic ability but it wasn't something I pursued, instead I left high school in Year 9 to work with my dad - painting and decorating, which I am still doing today. In 2006 my (then fiance) and I decided to leave Sydney behind for the peaceful and inspirational surrounds of the Blue Mountains of New South Wales - somewhere we had visited time and time again, and always felt sad when we had to head back to Sydney.  We relocated to Katoomba in April 2006, married in December 2006 and eventually decided to settle in Leura in January 2007...
